This St John's Wort variety is grown for its medicinal uses and has the highest amounts of hypericin, the purple-red tinted juice that has holistic and medicinal qualities. In addition to being a widely used medicinal herb, this easy to grow perennial is a magnet for pollinators and especially provides great value to bumblebees. Growing up to 2 1/2 feet tall with flowers that are a little less than 1/2" across, it can present dark spots and streaks anywhere on the upper surfaces of the yellow petals at random.
